*Tuhotmos is a bay stallion was bred by the Egyptian Agricultural
Organization (short EAO) and was a perfect result of the mating of Moniet el Nefous
with the bay El Sareei. *Tuhotmos, imported to USA by Ann Heber, was a
beautiful stallion, always a show attidute when presented to the people. He knew
he was a king!
His sire was probably the most perfect Egyptian bred stallion
El Sareei. Judith Forbis, an expert in Arabian horses and long time breeder,
said onece that he was probably the ideal of an Arabian horse. El Sareei’s dam
was Zareefa (aka Zarifa) whose dam was Radia (aka Ghadia). Radia (Feysul x
Ghazala El Beida) directly traced back to the Abbas Pascha mare Ghazieh. Thus,
El Sareei is a Saklawi Jedran stallion.
*Tuhotmos’ dam was the
chestnut mare Moniet el Nefous.
Moniet el Nefous
was known as most beautiful Egyptian mare ever. Usually, she didn’t only
pass her beauty and disposition to her foals but also her chestnut color.
*Tuhotmos or *Ibn Moniet el Nefous (grey) didn’t get her color but her beauty.
*Tuhotmos is a double Shaloul grandson and double Saklawi Jedran
through Moniet el Nefous
and El Sareei. Shaloul (Ibn Radban x Bint Radia) was one of the most
influental sires of EAO. His dam, Bint Radia out of Radia, is a
half-sister to El Sareei’s dam Zareefa .
In 1972 to
1973 foals of *Tuhotmos were born in Egypt. His first “US” foals were born in
1974. 15 years later, after a successful breeding career, he was taken out of
breeding. Without any show presentation in his life (except one appearance at an
Egyptian Event’s stallion parade), he died in October 1991.
